1)  What’s My Rule? - Intro to algebra & solving math problems, using a table.  First, we look at the first number going in.  Next, we look at the second number coming out.  Then, we count how many hops.  Then, we write the rule.  Last, we check the rule with the next numbers. (I’ll give you a worksheet of what this type of table looks like)

 Presidents’ Day - What are the roles of a president?  Name some famous presidents  from the past - George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Ronald Regan, George Bush, Barak Obama.



We'll use Kidspiration to write:

 Writing - Brainstorm ideas of what a president might do for our country .  This will help students with their writing.  Ask them “What would you do if you were the President of the United States?”  Use the following sentence frame for their writing:  “If I were the President of the United States, I would __________.”  (This lesson may extend to next week).
